Tabitha Williams, Board Member

Tabitha Williams is rooted in caring for others, with 24 years of experience in healthcare and a deep commitment to community well-being. She wears many hats—community organizer, advocate, and Mental Health Ambassador for Calvin University—bringing a creative, lived-experience approach to organizing that supports stronger policies, healthier systems, and more connected communities. 

Tabitha is a proud board member of S.O.U.R.C.E Studio (Sustained Operations Utilizing Resources for Culture, Communities, and the Environment), she enjoys advancing artist-driven initiatives that responds to the human challenges through diverse cultures, community healing and environmental care, Tabitha believes every board should create joy in their work. As a parent leader she supports work that elevates historically marginalized voices and transforms lived realities into policy-relevant and cultural impact. 

Tabitha is also a founding member of Parents for Healthy Homes, a parent-led grassroots organization advancing environmental justice, community education, safe healthy housing, lead poisoning prevention, and community-driven solutions informed by those with direct experiences. 

Grounded in relationship-building and community wisdom, Tabitha often shares that no formal level of education has taught her as much as the lived experiences and stories of others. She proudly describes herself as holding a “PhD in lived experience,” recognizing the expertise gained through life, service, and resilience. 

Known to many as “FabTabulous,” Tabitha brings fashionable flair, versatile hairstyles, and a presence that energizes every space she enters. A mother of nine, she finds joy in family time—especially cooking lessons and late-night movies—and hopes people remember her message: “We all have power and influence, so be the change you wish to see.”
